If you don’t see much of me in the next couple of weeks, it’s because we’re in the home stretch for my company’s big technology conference, TUCON. I’ve attended plenty of conferences, but this one is the first where I’ve been closely involved from the early stages. The level of effort is incredible.
Just getting started
But there’s another reason I’m eager to be in Las Vegas in two weeks, presenting and taking it in. In all of my years in technology, I’ve never felt so strongly that the changes on the horizon are much more significant than what we’ve experienced in the past twenty years All was just prelude to the power of having everyone, anywhere connected on a common platform. On that front, we’re just getting started. It keeps me up at night.
In a couple of weeks we’ll hear from entrepreneurs who had the vision to get us here…people who see things differently and before anyone else. We’ll also hear from industry leaders who are breaking new ground in Big Data, analytics, mobile, cloud, social, process and infrastructure. We’ll get to hear from Gartner, Forrester and IDC on what they see across the landscape and into the future. We’ll get a glimpse into what’s coming next and I can’t wait.
I’ll tell you what…register for TUCON with the code TUCON2012SA and get over 20% off the conference fee and I’ll make sure to give you a signed copy of TIBCO CEO Vivek Ranadive’s book, The Two-Second Advantage.
I hope to see you there.
If nothing else, your (TIBCO) conference web site should win a design award!
Perhaps it’s a great sign of the creativity and attention to detail of the rest, too (it is).
